“My Magical Lens” - A Harry Potter Quilt
Aug 31, 2008 | quilting supplies
“My Magical Lens” - A Harry Potter Quilt was designed, pieced, sweated over, bled for and tears shed by Jennifer Ofenstein (ofenjen) during 2006-2007. A Harry Potter fan since 1999, I started designing paper pieced HP quilt squares because of the limited supply of HP fabric on the market and I really wanted to make an HP quilt for my family.
Many of my patterns are available free at www.sewhooked.org.
I’m currently working on my first quilt book and hope to have a publisher soon.
Look for How To Paper Piece and other crafty videos on my YouTube page; text tutorials and free patterns at sewhooked.org.

Thank you so much!
Paper piecing is very addictive and my favorite way to share the HP love. You are right, it took a long time, but was well worth it. I’m still quilting HP and designing new patterns.
If you decide paper piecing, look me up and say hi.

This quilt is incredible! I’m a huge HP fan and I’m always astounded at the creative and beautiful ways in which fans express their interest in Harry’s world. Thank you so much for sharing your designs and patterns, it’s incredibly generous.
