Contact the manufacturers of the supplies you want to carry. Many of them have websites with areas for retailers. I don't know about beading supplies (although I assume it would be the same), but for quilt fabric, the owners of the quilt shops I visit receive books from the fabric companies and they usually order online. Be sure you have your business set up before you start contacting the companies - you'll probably need a tax ID number before they'll sell anything to you.
There's a link below as an example.

I love to quilt, but fabric is getting so expensive. Most places are charging $8 to $10 per yard. I need a source for quilting fabric that is inexpensive enough to make my quilts without taking out a loan ;-D thanks.
I like to shop the clearance fabrics at Hancock's of Paducah. They carry quilt shop quality fabric, but the clearance stuff is as low as $3 a yard. Your selection is more limited, but sometimes that's a good thing because it forces you to try new things. In the link below, look for Quilting Fabric Themes on the left side. They'll have First Shot Closeouts for $5 a yard, Bargain Basement for $4, and Last Call for $3. (If you don't see these, click on Quilting Fabric Themes to see the full list.) They cut the fabric generously and shipping is reasonable if you buy larger quantities.
You might want to check out Freecycle. It's an organization within communities that exchanges stuff for free. Search for your city by zip code to find out the closest group.

One of my very good friensd is getting married next month, and I am looking to buy a nice warm quilt for a wedding gift. Her mother died of cancer about 10 years ago, and I would love for the proceeds of the quilt to go toward cancer research. Does anyone know where I can get one of these?
Every year, ebay has a special auction of quilts to honor and benefit breast cancer patients through the Susan G. Koman foundation. Better Homes & Garden puts on the Quilt Pink event and the quilts produced in 2007 are about to be auctioned off this month. You can find more information here:

Here is a link to the quilt auction schedule:

This cause is very near to my heart as well, being a quilter, having lost my mother to breast cancer in February 2005 and currently waiting on biopsy results for myself.
